The Licensing Act 2003 (2020 UEFA European Championship Licensing Hours) Regulations

09 Jul
2021

As we reported on Tuesday, the Government have moved forward with Regulations to extend licensing hours (where needed) for pubs and clubs in England and Wales on Sundays evening to 11:15pm to mark the Occasion of the UEFA European Championship Final.

The Regulations, rather unsurprisingly, received support from both sides of the House of Commons yesterday (Thursday 8th June) and the Regulations will come into force on Saturday. Here is a copy of the draft Regulations.

The Regulations will allow premises to serve alcohol and late night refreshment until 11:15pm and close at midnight.

Sarah and Jon Wallsgrove drew England and Italy respectively in the office sweep stake, so tensions may be running particularly high in the Wallsgrove house this weekend!!

Everyone at John Gaunt & Partners wish the England team all the best for the final and hope pubs can enjoy a great day on Sunday.
